Due to the generosity of so many who support our 5K fundraiser every year we were able to award two $2,000 scholarships this year. Congratualtions to these Class of 2016 graduates for being so supportive of their special need peers. We wish you good luck in your futures and have no doubt you will do great things.
The ninth annual Jamie Fund scholarships were awarded to the following Mansfield High School graduating seniors in 2016:
Allison Belanger: will attend Worcester State University and study elementary education. She would like to work with children with special needs.
Derek Lynch: will attend UMass Lowell for social work with a plan to focus on working with individuals with developmental and emotional disabilites.
Each student received a $2,000 scholarship from the fund. Scholarships are given to graduating seniors who will be pursuing a degree in special education at an accredited four-year college or university and have demonstrated a commitment to special needs education and awareness.
Scholarships are typically awarded at the end of the school year. Applications are accepted through Mansfield High School. For more information, please contact The Jamie Fund.
