Due to the generosity of so many who support our 5K fundraiser every year we were able to award two $2,000 scholarships this year. Congratualtions to these Class of 2017 graduates for being so supportive of their special need peers.  We wish you good luck in your futures and have no doubt you will do great things.

The tenth annual Jamie Fund scholarships were awarded to the following Mansfield High School graduating seniors in 2016:

Emily Kleber:  will attend the University of Hartford and study physical therapy.  She would like to work with the special needs population.  She was also so inspired by her special need friend at MHS that she is taking sign language as her foreign language.

Ceara Walsh:  will also attend the University of Hartford to pursue a career in special education. She helped develop a lunch buddies group at MHS and also volunteered in our iCARE program.

Each student received a $2,000 scholarship from the fund. Scholarships are given to graduating seniors who will be pursuing a degree in special education at an accredited four-year college or university and have demonstrated a commitment to special needs education and awareness.

Scholarships are typically awarded at the end of the school year. Applications are accepted through Mansfield High School. For more information, please contact The Jamie Fund.
